Only in endemic areas. Foals from Unvaccinated mares may benefit form vaccination at 2,4, and 8 weeks of age but efficacy is unknown. Not applicable in yearlings. |

Unvaccinated mare:
Vaccinated mare: a) Start at 6 months of age followed by two booster shots at 4 week intervals. |

| Equine Viral Arteritis |
Only for colts to be used as breeding stallions starting at 6 months of age followed by a second shot at 12 months of age. |
Only use in endemic areas. Annual for colts to be used as breeding stallion in endemic areas. Should also be given to teasers stallions used in endemic areas. |

Intramuscualar vaccine:

Intranasal vaccine: a) Start at 6-9 months with a booster at 3 —4 weeks later. |
Do not vaccinate after clinical signs appear. In herd outbreaks vaccinate horses that are not showing clinical signs. Semi-annual in yearlings. See text and Table I |
